Hello and welcome. My name is Natasha Huumo and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Registered Dietitian. I have a private practice in Vancouver, BC and am currently accepting clients.

I believe therapy offers support for people while they identify and address factors interfering with wellness, wellbeing, personal-growth and relationships.

It allows us to develop a deeper understanding of who we are so we can discover our passions and find the courage and strength to strive towards our potential. This helps us live happier, healthier meaningful lives.

Approach

 

I employ a collaborative approach, which means I include the strengths you bring and your perspective. In the session, we focus on what brought you to counselling / therapy, as well as develop an understanding of who you are based on your previous experiences including the emotional response. As we focus on these experiences, I help facilitate integration and understanding of experiences and emotions through different interventions. Benefits of this process include:

I employ an integrative approach drawing on several therapies. However, the foundation of my understanding stems from Compassion Focused, Emotion Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies.
